What it is: The coolant pump kit Nettuno (composed of a pump, an open cabin, a PLC control panel and a temperature sensor) is a solution designed to cool tiles down before undergoing digital printing.
What it is for: Generally, the tile arrives from the line to the digital printing with a temperature of about 70°C, and this damages and wears print heads. As in digital printing the heads are very expensive, we designed a suitable solution to reduce the tile temperature before undergoing digital printing. Basically, we nebulise water spray on the tile to reduce its temperature, without causing any thermal shock or leaving the tile wet. Thanks to its sensor that measures the tile temperature and to the PLC control panel, the pump kit Nettuno can smartly adjust the pump pressure (and therefore the water spray flow rate on the tiles). The open cabin linked to the pump has three nozzles that nebulise water on the tiles, reducing the temperature (that reaches about 40°C) and leaving the tile almost dry. This way the tile enters the digital printer without ruining and wearing prematurely the machine heads. As a consequence, the costs of digital printing are dramatically reduced.
The use and maintenance manual will guide the user step by step through the easy machine installation and calibration procedures to obtain the best result possible.
How it is structured: The main elements forming the machine are the pump and the open cabin, which has been designed and optimised to avoid condensing and drop formation on tiles. It employs three nozzles nebulising high pressure water.
GL-PN pumps use pistons made of special ceramic and oil-bath inner mechanisms: lubrication is separated from the areas where water passes, avoiding any contamination. The quality of the materials and the careful processing of the different parts provide the pump with a long service life and a high level of efficiency. All the materials in contact with the liquid are highly resistant to corrosion and wear.
The pump has been designed and built to transfer clean water or non-aggressive aqueous solutions. The liquid drawn up should be free from sand or other solid suspended particles. The viscosity and density of the liquid drawn up should be similar to those of water. In particular, it is NOT possible to use the pump under the following conditions:
- In presence of water with high salt concentration, such as sea water.
- To pump paint, solvents, fuels and any inflammable liquids.
